Poster for 3rd Hidden Hunger Congress 2017: Micronutrient deficiency is a global challenge to nutrition wellbeing, health, and economic development. Indigenous leafy vegetables (ILVs) constitute part of the traditional diets in most of the rural households in Tanzania and contribute to micronutrient intake such as carotenoids, vitamin C, vitamin E and minerals such as calcium, iron magnesium zinc and phytochemicals. However, the micronutrient content of many indigenous leafy vegetables is unknown.
